Dr. Mortagy and Dr. Aya founded the Egyptian Medical Education Collaborative Group (Egy MedEd) in 2021 which operates on a volunteer for free basis.

Egy MedEd consists of a virtual network of volunteer research collaborators.

Purpose:

Egy MedEd is established to educate medical students and graduates on concepts of medical education and research basics at no charge and provide free courses that aim at improving medical students' and graduates' education and research levels.

Egy MedEd aims at designing and participating in various research projects that assess the educational and research needs of medical students and graduates and formulating necessary recommendations to improve the status of medical education and research.
